DESCRIPTION OF CHRONICLE

SETTING:

A vast stretch of the coast on the Sea of Swords, from Icewind Dale in the North to Amn, is where we lay our tales. From political machinations and shadowy maneuvers in Waterdeep, to trekking through the wilderness of the Kryptgarden Forest and the Mere of Dead Men, to investigating the darkness below in Underdark...

The chronicle begins on the 18th day of Eleint, 1372, the Year of Wild Magic. Selune is in a waxing crescent, and the air is a little colder than normal for this time of year.



THEMES:

Darkness Corrupts - for what price would a man sell his soul.
What Waits In Shadows - what secrets do people strive to hide.
Death or Dishonor - what are some willing to die for.

PLOTS:

At least one over-arcing plot will tie the chronicle together. Smaller plots will emerge and be solved within a duration of a few game sessions.

XP AWARD GUIDELINES:

Experience will be awarded at the end of each session, and the total will often be a third of the total needed for the next level.
